Cookie and Cache Policy

This page explains cookies, similar browser technologies and cached copies of pages on Softcare Business. They serve different purposes: a cookie stores a small value used by a website or provider, while a cache keeps a copy of a file or response so it can load again more quickly. Clearing one does not necessarily clear the other.

Storage used for website functions

WordPress can use cookies for signed-in administration. Most readers do not need an account. The contact form uses a request token and a temporary server-side rate limit; submitting it does not subscribe you to marketing. Essential security functions are different from advertising cookies.

Google Ad Manager on editorial pages

Google Ad Manager may set advertising cookies when ads load on editorial pages. The site loads gpt.js and may request display, top-anchor, interstitial, and rewarded ads. Those cookies may help select, measure and, where allowed, personalise ads, subject to law and, for personalised ads in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, a Google-certified consent platform. This page is not that platform. Policy pages do not load ad code.

A rewarded ad, if you choose to watch one, sets a first-party cookie named softcarebusiness_access for six hours. While it is present, interstitial and rewarded ads are not requested. Display and top-anchor ads can still load. If a rewarded ad does not fill, the site stays open.

What caching means for readers

Cloudflare and the origin server can cache images, stylesheets, scripts or public pages. Your browser also maintains its own cache. A cached page can briefly show older information after an edit. Reload the page if something looks stale. For prices, feature lists and deliverability claims, verify the current provider page rather than assuming a cached copy is current. Treat a comparison, statistic or price as a starting point. Confirm current plans, limits, data-processing terms and features on the provider’s own site before you subscribe, migrate a list or change DNS records.

Contact pages and private information

The reader-contact page is sent with no-cache headers to reduce the chance of an expired form token. Submitted messages are stored in the private site inbox, not inserted into a public page. Do not share sensitive records through a public browser or leave a signed-in session open on a shared device.

Managing your choices

Use your browser’s site settings to inspect or delete cookies and site data for softcarebusiness.com. Most browsers let you block third-party cookies, though this may affect ads or embedded features. Clearing the browser cache removes saved files; clearing cookies can sign you out of an admin session. These actions do not delete a message already submitted to the site or erase records held by Google or Cloudflare.

For Google ad personalisation, visit My Ad Center or Ads Settings. Other participating providers offer controls through YourAdChoices. A cookie policy itself does not grant consent, and continuing to read a page is not a substitute for a required consent choice.
